Monkey Man Usher failed to impress festival-goers with his appearance at Radio 1's Big Weekend concert in England - after shouting out the name of the wrong city to the audience. The fluffy-in-face singer opened the BBC radio' station's festival in Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent, on Saturday (10May08) but upset the 30,000 strong crowd after greeting them by shouting out "Hello Manchester". Although the crowd, which was mostly made up of people native to Maidstone, took offense at the star calling out the wrong name, the rest of the urban hunk's set went down well with fans. As well as Usher, the crowd were treated to pop superstar Madonna's only U.K. festival appearance this year (08), when she performed tracks from her new LP Hard Candy.
In related news, Mr. Monchichi is set to appear and perform on the season finale of ABC's Dancing with the Stars on May 20th. Usher's number will feature three of DWTS' professional female ballroom dancers, including the recently ousted Karina Smirnoff. “Usher asked her personally to be in the production,” one of my DWTS spies tell me.

Nope, no excuse. Whitney, I can understand because she's been on her grind performing here and abroad. As for Mr. Monkey Knuckles, again, there's no excuse. That was dude's first performance in about three or four years. He hasn't been doing enough shit or performing enough to have his 'days just run together' so much that he forgets what city he's performing in.
