DANCE-OFF FEATURING CIARA VS. BEYONCE.

Is there really any sort of comparison when it comes to the dancing styles of Beyonce and Ciara? I say 'Hell, naw, it ain't!' And I'm even more convinced since watching a youtube video featuring the two singers in what I guess is some of their best dance moves to date. Whoever made that comparison video (I'm going to go ahead and assumed it was created by a Ciara fan!) showcased some of Beyonce's most chicken-dancing-with-its-head-off like moves. This girl dances like a damn over-caffeinated hyena in the middle of rush hour traffic in New York City on a sunny day in the middle of July. That's real talk right there. Now, I know some folks gripe about Ciara's 'pop, lock and drop it' dance steps, but let's face it: even when she's not shaking it and grinding it to the floor, Ciara's natural rhythm outshines Beyonce's on her (Ciara) worst day. Besides, I'd rather listen to Beyonce sing (just like I'd prefer to see Ciara dance instead of sing) than to see her dance. If she ain't got her face all up in that damn wind machine, she's rolling around on stage a la Prince during his Purple Rain reign.

And don't even get me started on the madness and utter disbelief regarding B.E.T.'s 25 Best Dancers of All Time debacle when they placed Ciara at number #25 and Beyonce at #5. Talk about being slapped in the face something proper-like!

Watch the video and judge for yourselves.

THROWBACKS/NEW PICS: VIVICA IN ESSENCE MAG'S JAN. 2005 ISSUE; BEHIND THE SCENES OF 'CAUGHT ON TAPE' MOVIE.

I came across a couple of photoshoot pics of actress Vivica A. Fox in Essence magazine's January 2005 issue. Hard to believe these pics were only taken nearly 2 years ago. Fox graced that particular issue's cover and coincidentally, that was the same year she produced The Salon (which should be available on DVD by now)--a film in which she also starred. Kym E. Whitley, Darrin Henson, Taral Hicks, Monica Calhoun, Dondre Whitfield and Terrence Howard co-star in the film.

Fox has been keeping busy lately. Besides starring along her new BFF Jessica Simspon, in Major Movie Star (slated for released in 2008, ex-Girlfriends co-star Jill Marie Jones' is also in this movie), Fox is also starring in Caught On Tape; the film, directed and written by rapper Sticky Fingaz. The 'plot' revolves around a little boy who uses the video camera he received as a birthday gift to spy on his mother's boyfriend who is plotting a crime. Although this film has been 'in production' since 2006, it still has no official release date. Did I mention that this film is labeled as a 'musical'? Excuse me: a 'hardcore musical.'
Oh, and according to Fingaz, there's a lot of violence, lots of sex, action, drama and a whole of sentiment and romance as well. 'It's the first time this have ever been done,' he says.

Tell me about it.

Did I also neglect to mention Or that this movie will also serve as Kevin Federline's big-screen (that's if it doesn't go straight-to-video first) debut? And can someone please tell me why do I feel like I have wasted entirely too much time on this blog entry?

Below and after the cut, check out the pictures of the cast and crew on the set. And is it me or is Bokeem Woodbine the most sterotyped ni99ah in Hollywood. I swear this dude stays playing crazy-ass criminals.

That is all.

CANDID THROWBACK PICS: OJ SIMPSON'S OLDEST DAUGHTER, ARNELLE SIMPSON, IN BEVERLY HILLS.

I found some old ass photos of OJ Simpson's oldest daughter Arnelle Simpson a couple of days ago...which I thought was a coinky-dink because I remember posting a picture of her sitting next to her father's sister at his court arraignment earlier this week. Now, that I've seen these photos, physically, she really hasn't changed too much. At least in my opinion. Anywhoo, these pics were snapped by a member of the paparazzi back in 2000. The former Heisman winner's daughter was allegedly caught driving her car while shopping in Beverly Hills, California despite a court order restricting her to drive to and from work and her alcohol program only.

In 1998, Arnelle (30-years old at the time) was arrested on drunk driving charges after she lost control of her Saab, crashed into a bus bench and slammed into a Beverly Hills apartment building. Simpson was sentenced to two days in jail, fined $2,800 and ordered to enter an 18-month-drunk driving program. Later that year, Arnelle was ordered to pay $10,000 for the damages she caused in the accident.
