BEYONCE'S TOO-SEXY BILLBOARD IN SIN CITY HAS RESIDENTS VEXED + IS BEY AIMING FOR A RIHANNA-INSPIRED ALBUM?

An advertisement featuring a bikini-clad Beyonce Knowles has angered locals in Las Vegas, after they complained the billboard was "obscene". The R&B beauty appears on an advert for the city's KWNZ radio station, but residents in Sin City are petitioning to have the raunchy image taken down. Resident Pamela Keeney says, "It's obscene. I have my two little grandkids coming over here, and they don't need to be seeing that. You can change the channel on the TV but you can't change that." Ward Ryan, another resident, has collected 100 signatures on a petition protesting the billboards, saying he was upset that Clear Channel installed it without permission.

But KWNZ has stood by the billboard and has received the backing of city spokesman Chris Good. Scott Seidenstricker, manager of KWNZ, says, "The billboards were taken from publicity shots and this is the way those people perform. So to show them in a jogging suit probably wouldn't be the right thing." Good adds, "It complies with all the locational criteria that are set out in our (advertising) code (of conduct)."

In related news, Knowles has enlisted the help of dance duo The Freemasons to help her create a pop album similar to R&B rival Rihanna's. The British music producers say Knowles is desperate to trade her heavy R&B sound in favor of a more dancefloor-friendly pop production. Freemasons star James Wiltshire says, "The album is going to be huge. It will rival anything the likes of Britney and Rihanna have done recently. Beyonce and her team can see where mistakes were made on the last album. It was very American, very R&B and stripped back. They want to go for a more international sound this time. She wants to hit as many audiences as possible." Wiltshire, together with partner Russell Small, helped Beyonce's tracks Beautiful Liar and Deja Vu reach number one in the United Kingdom.
